Privacy Policy
Updated
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This policy explains what data is involved when you use CalcFolio. The short version: we collect very little, and we do not sell it.
Calculator inputs stay in your browser
The numbers you type into a calculator are processed in your browser by JavaScript running on your device. They are not sent to our server and we do not store them. You do not need an account, and the site has no forms that save personal information.
If you use the copy-link button, the values you entered are added to the link after the “#” sign. Browsers do not send that part of an address to the server, so those values do not reach us or our server logs; they are only visible to whoever you share the link with.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our server automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested: your IP address, your browser's user agent, the page requested, and the date and time. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working, for example to detect abuse or fix errors. They are kept for a limited period and then deleted, and they are not used to build profiles or for advertising. Our hosting provider processes this data on our behalf.
Cookies
The current version of CalcFolio does not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies, and it does not track you across other websites. The only cookie we set is a strictly necessary session cookie for the private admin area used to manage the site. Regular visitors do not receive it.
If this changes
If we decide to add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this page and add a consent banner before any of those tools run, so you can choose whether to allow them.
Your rights
Because we hold so little data, there is usually nothing linked to you by name. Still, you can ask us what data we have about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and we will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights. Visitors in the European Union and other regions have equivalent rights under laws such as the GDPR.
Children
CalcFolio is a general audience website and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
